SWEETSPRING

SWEETSPRING somatics offers mindful movement sessions that cultivate balance, ease, strength, length, and mind-body connection. SWEETSPRING somatics gives attention to how you move to develop easier, more efficient movement and a deeper understanding of your body. This, in turn, creates greater agency and empowerment in how you live your life through your body. It validates the unity of mind-body-spirit through embodied practice.
At SWEETSPRING somatics, movement practices are developed specific to your needs, wants, and goals. Practices are held over zoom or in-person, and mini-practice videos are available to stream. Some clients seek sessions for stress reduction, back care, or improved posture. Others seek instruction for detailed assistance with inefficient breathing patterns and/or imbalanced muscular recruitment patterns. Others reach out for sophisticated "core" work, movement for healthy aging, pain reduction, mindful yoga/pilates, and for training more dynamic uses of the body in the performing arts (dance, theatre, and music).
I am committed to supporting you on your journey towards holistic well-being that is based in the actual design of the human body and the integration of your whole embodied self. As part of this journey, we may call upon the senses and the imagination to awaken awareness of the structure and intelligence of the body.

Vanessa is fun to work with! She is always positive, constructive, and incredibly responsive to the issues that arise with my body. I consider myself incredibly lucky to work with someone who understands my body so well.

At the suggestion of my nephew, who is an actor, I started Alexander Technique (AT) training with Vanessa. The results have been spectacular. By letting go of layer upon layer of unnecessary conditioned tension, I am finding a level of balance and wellbeing that transcends even my experiences in martial arts. I view this as a life altering experience. Vanessa’s sensitivity to AT nuance and her depth of knowledge of movement is truly world class. I highly recommend her."

She is an amazing instructor, very knowledgable.

Vanessa Justice is an incredibly skilled teacher. I have worked with her for many years and seen her work with other students. She is able to meet people at any skill level and help them to feel better, more connected, and stronger in their bodies.
--Rachel, College Professor
I have been seeing Vanessa for chronic migraines that have become debilitating. I have only been seeing her for 6 weeks and my migraines have already improved dramatically. As an added benefit I also feel like I am able to move more freely and have much better posture. I wish I had discovered Alexander technique years ago! I consider myself very fortunate to have an expert teacher in Vanessa to guide me along the way.
